If you are logging in for the first time then you will have to use the default username, email id, and password as per the below-mentioned criteria.

i-Email address: Your email address will be [email protected] (all small case letters).

ii-Username: Your username will be Firstname.Lastname.

iii-Password: Your password will be the first two characters of your first name + the first two characters of your last name + the Last four digits of your social security number (only lowercase letters).

For example, If your name is John Brown then

  • The username will be John.Brown
  • The email address will be [email protected]
  • Password will be jobrxxxx where xxxx is the last four digits of your SSN.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

All students are advised to enroll in the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) after first-time login. MFA has been implemented and activated for all accounts from December 27, 2021. All students and faculties will get a notification to enroll for the Multifactor Authentication.

What is Multi-factor authentication: MFA is an extra level of security layer applied to your account to prevent unauthorized access. After enabling the Multi-factor authentication it requires one more step to log in. Initially, the student will enter their user id and password and in the second step, you will have to enter a security code that will receive by you according to your Multi-factor authentication setup.

There are two ways to access security codes by MFA.

  • Phone – Students can select the Phone option to receive SMS including the security code.
  • Mobile app – Students can download the authenticator app to generate a security code.

How to set up multi-factor authentication for Rasmussen Student login?
